Seeing the pain and sorrow that was reflected in Kenshin's eyes was heartbreaking. Sayuri found herself wanting to simply take him into her arms and sooth that pain away. She stayed sitting though, letting him tell her what was on his mind.
Sayuri smiled a little when he said he did not regret the night before, and how hay it had made him. When Kenshin spoke of the how and the battousai as if it was another person, it surprised her. It was true that he had acted differently than normal, but it wasnt bad.
When he bowed, to her, she gently moved so she could cup his cheek gently and raise his head so he could look at her. "I see nothing to forgive Kenshin. You protected me, saved my life once more, and then... then you gave me pleasure that I had never felt before so intensely." Her cheeks grew red as she said the last part and she refused to meet his eyes with how shy she felt.
"I see nothing wrong with what you did last night... none of it."
