"You know I am trained better than the clerk at the pharmacy. I will get you something to help you sleep." He smirked, narrowing his blue eyes at her. "Or I can take that necklace off you and force you to. Us vampires have our ways." There were other tiring activities they could do, but he remembered what it was to feel sick and nothing could make the body want to be active.
Moving over to sit close to her, he put his hand on her leg. Arik had been drinking some so was not as cold to the touch as normally a vampire would be. "And I am also trained to tell when you are lying about how you feel." He shook his head. "You know I can't remember much about how it felt to be human. I use to wish I had never been changed, but then-" he pursed his lips and then smiled. "I would have never had the friends I have now."
Blue eyes looked her over. Most masters would have a fit over how he felt towards his slaves. He saw them as friends and individuals rather than his property. He would give them their freedom, if they wanted it, once he was able to. "When you feel better, I want to go dancing with you. A real jazz club, something closer to my era music. It will be fun."
