WHO: Nyssa & Liam WHERE: Liam's house WHEN: Week 7; Sunday evening WHAT: Unpacking, Nyssa being a very cold shifter. RATING: High STATUS: In progress
She was freezing her ass off. That was the first thing she noticed about the island--or really, the second. The first was how gorgeous it was out on their new property. They were still living out in the middle of nature, it was just cold enough to chill her tits. Nyssa was feeling like her nipples were ice cubes at this point, but thank God there was a nice, big fireplace she could cuddle up by in the house. Liam didn't have this problem seeing as how weres ran hot, but Nyssa was still at the norm human temperature and susceptible to the winter around here. It was going to be a long one, she was sure, and her first that was this bitter.
Tugging her low-cut jeans up around her hips, Nyssa pulled herself from by the fire and slipped on her boots to trot outside for more firewood as it began to die down just a bit. At least Liam had been nice enough to cut her a huge supply, having left it all piled neatly on the front porch for the girl to grab. But even with it being right outside the front step, Nyssa pulled her pistol from the top of a cardboard box and shoved it into the back of her jeans, underneath the warm, fluffy sweater she was wearing. Every time, no matter, when Liam was out, she carried it loaded. You never know when you might have to shoot someone, even in the middle of November. Luckily, opening the door, there was no one waiting outside and glancing around the yard, no sign of Liam yet either.
Let him take his time, she'd keep the house warm while he was away.
Quickly, the shifter grabbed two quartered logs and then closed the front door with her foot, heading back towards the fireplace. One, then the other, she placed inside the hearth, watching the flames lick up around the edges and start to consume the wood. For a moment, she watched, captivated, but soon went back towards the box she'd been rifling through, pulling out things to put away--trinkets, items they'd just tossed inside to make packing faster. Nyssa was consumed by her task and it wasn't until she heard Liam coming in that she looked up, smiling softly.
