WHO: Deeta Copper and Castor Flynn WHEN: Week 7, Friday evening WHERE: Kahmr State Park WHAT: Lions being lions. RATING: Could get high STATUS: Closed, Complete Being part of the Katagaria feline pride had been good for Deeta in this small world. An island that forced prides to interact because it wasn't that big. The state park had several acres and even a nearby lake. Here, Deeta had gone for a swim. Dipping until she grew cold and blue, she tried to think about life now.
She had Peter now to look after. He was a stunning man the fates had deigned hers by marking them both the first time they'd fucked. Yes, Peter was human, but he was fun and probably deeper than he let on.And after all of the pack movements that had happened... First, her cousin up and left town. Then her Alpha, and that left two omegas in the dust without the leadership or protection they'd once had together. She was pretty vulnerable without a pride and she didn't want to show how much. Deeta had a lot on her mind, and swimming was helping to clear the priorities.
North and South were territories designated for the wolves and felines. She was the only lion on the island at the time. Deeta had been through this forest a dozen times and each time she'd scented Tigers, jaguars, a few of the smaller variety and a lot of wolves. Today she'd followed a new female wolf scent along the border, nothing to worry about too much. Climbing out of the cold water, refreshed, Deeta stretched onto her knees, arms stretched as she changed into her natural form.
At about two hundred and fifty pounds, Deeta was not a kitty to mess with. She was dangerous and larger than most of the weres in the other area, granted she was small even for a lion. But the lion had soft yellow fur, light brown at the moment from the droplets of water. She shook out her fur once fully changed and dried off more so. The lioness trotted into the forest to come back the way she'd come, a couple of miles and she was homefree. She was warming up now and enjoying the run, chuffing quietly through her muzzle.
A new scent crossed her path suddenly, one that she didn't recognize. But the message it carried was lethal. Another lion? Pausing only for a moment to glance to her sides, the lioness searched for anything amiss. If there was another lion nearby, it could be a very good or very bad thing. Most weres being pack minded, they sought others of their kind. The other kind of were, Deeta didn't want to think about.
Staying low to the ground, she moved slowly along the trees, peering into the brush before passing by it. Nostrils flaring to inhale as many signals as possible, she tried to track the new scent so that she could steer clear of them. The Katagaria side of the park had many places to hide, though.
