Part Two: Sarah

It had been three years since I wished my brother Toby away from me to the Goblin King and I had to rescue him in time to stop him from becoming a goblin. While she was in the Labyrinth she became intrigued by Jareth, the King of the Goblins. I would say I had my first crush on him but over the years I realised it was something more… I had fallen in love with him, the power he exuded was intoxicating but I knew there was no point in dwelling on the past. He would never look at me that way anyway. I had to move on with my life but I always found my thoughts drifting back to him and my friends I made there.

Every night when Toby was younger I would tell him tales of the Labyrinth which he became fascinated with. My parents had always said I had an active imagination so they believed it was completely made-believe but I believe that Toby vaguely remembered his time there though I had no proof of it.

At night I dream of a life with Jareth ruling the Goblin city. He loves me above anyone else; we have three children- two girls and a boy. Life would have been perfect, with all of that and Toby being allowed to visit. I didn’t mind that my parents weren’t allowed, I love them but our relationship is still tense.

I wish I could have that life but I know I never will so all I have is my fantasies of the life I wish I had.
