text: a show next weekend Who: Celestina & Liam What: Making plans for next weekend When: 17 April 2027 Where: Text Warnings: None Completion Status: Completed
Tina: Have we discussed how you feel about live music?
Liam: I don't think so but I love it!
Tina: When was the last time you were at a good live show? Tina: This sounds silly, doesn't it? Tina: I was asking, because my mother said she has a good line up next weekend
Liam: Oh it's been way longer than I want to admit! Liam: I think it was Maddie's Midnight Sprites in December Liam: Yeah? That sounds fun. She works at an open mic live music type place, right?
Tina: She does! I was debating going. Tina: That sounds like fun, I don't think I went. December's a bad month for my family. Tina: Mum said she also might have a lead on a record player so I can finally show you that Bowie album.
Liam: Oh, I'm sorry. Do you want to talk about it? Liam: That sounds great! I really don't know as much muggle music but there's so much fantastic stuff out there.
Tina: Oh, no need! Sorry, it sounds so ominous. It's just when my grandparents passed is all. Tina: I know, you poooor deprived boy you. It is totally okay though, you now have me in your life and I'm going to show you all sorts of wonderful and beautiful music. Tina: You're welcome.
Liam: Oh, well that's still a valid reason for the month to be a bit difficult. I hope it's still a good family time despite that. Liam: I'm in! I'm pretty sure you know by now that music's the best way to get me to take a break from work. Liam: Also the best way to keep me motivated at work ;)
Tina: Same! I find if I crank some really good music while doing chores, working, running, everything seems to go so much faster. Tina: I used to wake up on the weekends to my parents blaring music and cleaning, strangest tradition.
Liam: Exactly! And it makes it more fun to do it :) Liam: That doesn't seem so strange a tradition. It seems to have influenced you positively, anyway
Tina: You say this, but your mother didn't wake you by singing very loudly inches from your face. She's a handful. Tina: What do you think is your favorite quirk from childhood that you picked up?
Liam: Hah! No, she definitely didn't do that! Lol Liam: Oh umm I don't know? Probably my job, which I realize isn't actually a quirk Liam: Dad brought me to the lab a lot while I was growing up and I always loved it
Tina: I'd say that's a quirk! Not every kid gets to go to work with Dad. Tina: Did you get to mix things when you were small?
Liam: There were a few things dad let me play with in the lab, but it was all very limited and supervised Liam: I think it's fair to say I went to Hogwarts with a bit more knowledge and experience than my peers
Tina: That's likely why you're so brilliant Tina: Extra special training Tina: Not that it's a bad thing!
Liam: You flatter me, but thank you Liam: It's been great having you in the lab btw Liam: Fresh ideas and no one grumbling about the music anymore
Tina: I'll only grumble if you take the music away from me. Tina: The last place I worked was a nightmare without music Tina: You're welcome btw.
Liam: Hey! I still had music on before you were around, now I just don't have to hear anyone grouching under their breath about it and pretending I can't hear them Liam: Some people like to assume that I only got this position because I'm the boss's son Liam: It can get frustrating at times
Tina: Those people are obviously idiots. Tina: I mean, I can see if they didn't know you. They obviously know you and your work.
Liam: Well I appreciate your confidence in me Liam: You'll have to let me know what time and where that concert is. It's been too long since I dragged myself out of the lab
Tina: Saturday, doors open at 7pm. Tina: it's been a minute for myself actually Tina: which translates to a few months
Liam: Great, I'll be there :)
Tina: okay! Okay OK ok see you there! ... (dots appear and disappear a couple times)
