Re: Thad & Dagny
Dagny cheered for Thad but it wasn’t until the small, silvery egg was in her hands that the thought occurred to her that the prize was a little bit too nice for a claw prize. It only took a gentle press of her thumb to open the clasp and she found herself looking at a beautiful set of rings that definitely weren’t carnival trinkets.
The world went a little blurry around the edges as she realised Thad was down on one knee. Dagny knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she had met her soulmate, the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with. They were building their dream home together, entwining their lives, so Dagny had always been completely confident that was marriage was a step that they would take together. She just hadn’t expected a proposal today with face paint and fairy lights and the scent of fried donuts in the air.
It was perfect.
“Yes.” Her answer jolted out of her barely a moment after he’d asked the question. There was no other reply she could possibly contemplate giving. “Yes!” Every happy, delighted emotion seemed to bubble to the top all at once, tears brimming as she bent to kiss Thad, too impatient to even wait for him to stand.
