"Hailey!" was a bit of a shriek, but instead of going over to steal the infant from Hailey, she went over to their father. She was the baby of the family, and so she believed she was never too old to cuddle with their father. She greeted him in his chair, sliding into his lap sideways so she could hug him. "That's fine, I've got dibs on pop," she said happily from his armchair.
"Aren't you supposed to be doing bad ass things?" she asked curiously, in her own way asking just why her sister was home with them. She'd get up and move in a moment, for the moment she was enjoying feeling like the baby still. Maybe her father having another baby, an actual baby, was getting to her. Just a little.
