Although he'd just been fantasizing about lifting her up onto the counter and having his wicked way with her after all of the teasing and touching and ramping up of that delicious tension while they cooked, Miguel was pleasantly distracted by what she did instead.
"Yeah?" he asked on a breath, hardly daring to believe it. If she were really at the point of wanting to wear her wedding ring again, that meant they were truly over the bump, right? She was as committed to making this work as he was! "It would be an honor."
Miguel took the ring from her gently, holding her left hand in his. He lined the ring up with the right finger, pausing with the band hovering over the tip of it. "I promise to love you, honor you, cherish you, and to be faithful to you. Until death do us part," he murmured before slipping the ring fully onto her finger. They were words he meant with all of his heart, even if he knew his impulse control issues could make adhering to them a bit difficult along the way.
