Own any of this? Nah. I'm neither English nor rich. A/N: Cross-dressing is really not my thing, so these are all about different kinds of dressing. Except for the only real cross-dresser in HP canon. Sorry about that.

1. Kingsley
At first the trousers feel strange around his legs, since he's always worn robes with pants underneath. The tie is not so bad; after all, he's used to scarves on cold days. Tying it is a challenge, but with the help of his wand, it's done perfectly.
Looking at himself in the mirror, Kingsley muses about the outfit. Not the things he'd have picked out himself, but the Muggleborn wizard who helped him assured him they were fitting for his position in the Ministry.
He removes his earring, wondering if he'll ever master the art of dressing like a Muggle.

2. Old Archie
Old Archie smiled when he received instructions to dress like a Muggle for the Quidditch World Cup. Finally he would have a chance to parade in public with the frock he'd bought at a second-had store in Muggle London and which he wore only once, at a gay parade in Soho.
He's happy in his flowery house dress, but gets irritated with the idiot who wants him to wear trousers. He gives the excuse that he likes a healthy breeze around his privates, but, in reality, he loves the feel of the frilly satin knickers he wears under the dress.

3. Xenophilius Lovegood
He overhears Muriel's loud comment about how he looks like an omelet and, for a moment, he feels like telling her that yellow is, indeed, the color of trust and confidence. People who wear yellow are self-assured and the color is thought to bring good luck to weddings.
But he watches his lovely Luna, also dressed in yellow, and forgets about Muriel. Instead, he remembers another wedding, a beautiful bride dressed like a sunflower, walking down the aisle and smiling only for him.
Luna looks so much like her mother. He hopes she, too, wears yellow on her wedding day.

4. Lockhart
He firmly believes that clothes make the man, especially one in his position. At any given minute, there may be a Daily Prophet photographer waiting to take another picture of him, and it's imperative that he always dresses well.
He lives each day as if this is going to happen and sometimes, when the Healer is not around, he rummages in his bedside table and fishes out the peacock quill. Then he sits at the little table in his room and strikes a pose, fancying his hospital-regulation robes as the same colors as the quill.
He's ready for another day.

5. Snape
Black robes suit him well: people say black is the color for those who want to be unnoticed and Severus certainly doesn't want to be noted for the clothes he wears.
There's a dignity in black and he walks with flair, making his robes billow after him. It makes him an imposing figure, one who demands respect.
It is, most of all, a far cry from the young boy dressed in too-big hand-me-downs, odd and unmatched clothes that made him the brunt of the jokes of the other children at Spinner's End.
