1. James and Lily
No longer called a toerag, James proudly walks through Hogwarts holding Lily's hand. They are a couple, anyone can see it.
He feels good that he can touch her whenever he wants, kiss her at will and make claims on her time. For that, he had to give up the noble art of mischief making and become less arrogant.
But Lily is worth all that. He plans to ask her to marry him as soon as school is out. In the meantime, he is content in being by her side, and making sure that everyone knows she's his.
Especially Snivellus.

2. Rodolphus and Bellatrix
She finally accepts his courtship and Rodolphus is taken by a mix of surprise and happiness. He's in awe of his bride-to-be: beautiful, haughty, and a Black. He's been in love with her since they were children, even as she practiced spell over spell on him. He never retaliated, but instead complimented her on honing her skills. As they got older, her rebuffs only made him love her even more.
He's ecstatic that she's realized she loves him, too. They will be happy forever.

Bellatrix only loves power. But she's a dutiful daughter and she knows she must get married.

3. Merope and Tom Riddle, Sr.
He brings the carriage to a sudden stop when he sees the beautiful woman standing at the door of the hovel. Doesn't she know that it's a dangerous place, inhabited by two freaks and the ugliest woman he's ever seen, just like the witches in the fairy tales of his childhood.
Gallantly he bows to her and offers her a ride to wherever she wants to go. He's pleased beyond belief that she seems lost and would gladly accompany him to Riddle House.
She's charming, and, by the time he helps her down, he decides she's the one he'll marry.

4. Remus and Tonks
Remus knows he's not a great catch. When he was younger, he had decent good looks, but life and time took their toll on him: his face is lined and his hair is grey, making him look older than his years.
He's also penniless, unemployed and has a terrible condition. Just as if this wasn't enough, he's also too old for her. She has a good job, is full of life and has a bright future.
He doesn't know what she sees in him, what makes her pursue him so intently.
