Three Dreadful Nightmares Title: Hole in her heart Fandom: Buffy: The Vampire Slayer Immediately following Chosen Characters: Belle Osbourne and Faith Summary: Every Victory has a price Notes: I do not own the Buffy Franchise. Joss, the master of all, does. Belle belongs to my dear friend, Debi. Frankie is mine. Please ask permission before using either in a story.
Also, please note, this is an indirect deathfic. It is very depressing.
Belle thought the hole in her heart was from the fact that her lover, Miss Simone, had been arrested for corruption of a minor and statutory Rape. She sat on the school yard, twirling the prayer beads Frankie had given her and smoking the joint as she wished there was some way she could make her voice heard. She had done the corruption. Not the other way around.
She heard footsteps approaching and she sat up. The dark haired girl walking up to her was beaten and bloody. Her arm looked broken. She sat up further when it was clear the other girl was approaching her. She tilted her head to the side. "Can I help you?"
Faith laughed, but it was humorless. "You have got to be Belle. Frankie told me you had a mouth on you. I'm Faith, friend of Frankie's."
"You have my attention." Belle said. Even though she went to a private school, Frankie had always promised, despite things getting hectic on the Hellmouth, that he would visit every week at least. He had missed the past three weeks. "Where is Frankie? Has something happened to him?" She bit her lip.
Faith refused to meet her eyes. "Let's go somewhere more private."
Her heart cracked. It was bad news. Something had happened to her beloved twin brother. Belle stood up silently and led the older woman away from the grounds. Her car was there. Faith took out a cigarette, and handed one to Belle, who also took one. Faith tapped one hand lightly against the window as she took a drag from the cigarette. "Dammit, I wish he hadn't chosen me for this. Look, I don't know how much you knew about what was going on..."
Belle shrugged. "Frankie told me something about the First Evil opening the Hellmouth, awakening some kind of Uber Vamp, and all in all trying to destroy the world. It sounded serious, but Frankie had always been helping Danny Boy's friends avert apocalypse since we were eleven."
"Did he mention someone named Caleb?"
Belle nodded. "Right before his last visit. Said the first had thrown something new at them. This corrupt Catholic priest served as the human Emissary for the First."
"That's about right," Faith took a deep breath, "ok, I'm just gonna be blunt and honest. Three weeks ago he was leading a group of potentials on patrol, and they were ambushed by Caleb. He sent the Potentials out for help and took Caleb on himself to buy them time." Faith swallowed. Just thinking about what happened to the werewolf she considered a kid brother made her want to punch a wall and scream. "They came for me. I wasn't fast enough. I got there just as they jammed a stake through his heart." She took another drag. "He had two requests. One: tell Dawn that he will always love her, and Two: That I was to personally tell you that he was killed. He asked me to wait until after the battle with the first. He didn't want you involved. He didn't tell me why." She took a shaky breath and let it out. "I know this won't make you feel any better, but I personally took that fucker out."
Belle didn't hear anything after learning that her twin, her other half, was dead. She couldn't breathe. Time was warped, and she understood the hole in her heart. It was her worst nightmare come true. She tore the door off her car in an effort to find air. She didn't know how far she ran before she collapsed on her knees, crying so hard she couldn't see.
She didn't know which was louder. The shattering of her heart, or the anguish scream of losing the one person she had always relied on.

Kellan Franklin Osbourne wished once again that he had brought ear plugs. Frankie cared about all the potentials, but their endless yammering annoyed him. He rolled his eyes, listening to Amanda and Vi arguing over some guy in some movie. Either way, it was something that he didn't care about, and certainly didn't want to hear about it. "Cut the gossip girls. We're on patrol. Do you want to give our position away?" He called over his shoulder.
He turned the corner and stopped dead. The corrupt priest Caleb stood there, with two Turok Hans and Harbingers of the First. The four slayers in training stood behind him. "Uh...Frankie?"
"Go get Faith." He said. He walked forward slowly. His chances were slim, but the girls had no chance against all of them. He had to give them the chance to escape.
"Well, lookie here. Looks like we've got a hero on our hands." Caleb said, laughing. He looked at the four who flanked him. "Leave the wolfboy to me."
Frankie was in fact, wolfing out. He heard a voice behind him. "Frankie, are you sure..."
He turned toward Amanda. His face was elongating, the hair was growing course and long, and his eyes were from the pale blue to the fierce yellow of the wolf. "I said go!" He growled, his voice no longer soft, but hard and rough. Frankie didn't wait to see if Amanda ran or stayed, but his change was complete and he was ready for battle.
Once they started fighting, it was clear to Frankie that unless Faith showed up with reinforcements, he would not live to see another day. Still he fought with his all. He would not go down the cowardly way. He would bloody them all and make them think twice before messing with the scoobies before he fell.
He didn't know how long the fight went on, but it was only after he shifted down to his human form that Caleb had only been wanting to wear the werewolf out. He was too weak to fight off the Harbingers as they grabbed him by the arms.
He fought harder when he saw the wicked gleam in Caleb, and the raised stake. The pain was agonizing as the lapdog to the First rammed it into his heart. He screamed, writhing free of the harbingers. Every heartbeat brought new pain, though slowly as his heart stopped working, the pain started to fade.
He didn't know what happened to the others. But he found himself in Faith's arms. "Faith," he whispered, "promise me you'll tell Dawn I will always love her, and that after this is all over you'll be the one to tell my twin sister that I'm gone? You'll know her when you see her. Just look for the only brunette at St Mary's prep with Buddhist prayer beads and a snarky attitude."
The last thing he really remembered was hearing Faith's scream of No! As he died in her arms.
"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!" He shot straight up in the bed, leaning over the sweat drenched sheets, fighting for air.
"Easy, Frankie, easy. You're okay." His twin sister had a hand on his back, rubbing gently up and down. "You're alive."
"I wasn't." He panted.
Lithe arms gripped his hands. He looked up and into Dawn's eyes. "But you are now. You're my Christmas miracle, remember? That was six months ago. Caleb's dead. The First is defeated. And if it wasn't." Dawn smiled. "i highly doubt it could survive the wrath of my Slayer."
"Damn straight." Belle said, hugging her brother from behind. She pulled him back to the bed. "Now come on, get some sleep. I'm here, and Dawn's here. No more nightmares, kay?"
Frankie nodded, resting his head against his twin's shoulder, feeling his girlfriend curl up next to him. If he couldn't sleep like this, he would never sleep again.
Title: Dawn's nightmare Fandom: Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, season Five Characters: Dawn, Buffy, Frankie, and Xander Summary: Glory attacks two people closest to Dawn Notes: Don't own Buffy. Still own Frankie. My own universe, deal.
Xander shut the door, and leaned against it. He was tired. Willow had stormed off, eyes black in magical fury. That left him and Buffy to take care of Tara and Frankie. Fortunately, Dawn had been visiting Hank that weekend, so she didn't have to be told yet. He looked over at Buffy, who was leaving the other room. She looked at him. "Is he asleep?"
Xander nodded. "Do you think he's lost the control of his wolfiness?"
Buffy shrugged. "I would say it's a safe assumption, but I don't know, and I don't know if he would be able to understand if we put him a cage."
"I'll watch him. I think I can handle the little half moon, sane or not."
Buffy and Xander turned to see the Peroxide blond vampire standing there. "How did you get in?"
"The little bit let me in. And I think you might need me." He looked at Buffy. "It's not like I can hurt him in human form, and I control him as werewolf. I want to help."
Xander and Buffy looked at each other. "First bite he gets, and you're out of the house...again."
"That would give me a headache I don't want to deal with, in more than one count."
The opened and shut. "Buffy! I'm home!"
The three of them looked at each other. They had been hoping for more time to prepare before Dawn showed up. But here she was bounding up the stairs. She smiled at the three. "Hey, hey the gangs, well, the gangs not all here, but hi!" She looked at them, waiting for some response of wit and funny from somebody. She sighed. "Okay, so, what are you refraining from telling me? Is it mom or is it something that Glory did?"
Xander licked his lips and looked away. Buffy found her feet very fascinating. Spike looked from one to the other. "Bloody hell, are you both to yellow to tell her the truth? Where is he?" Xander pointed to the room he had just left.
Spike took Dawn's hand, and led her to the door. "Brace yourself, Nibblet. It was Glory, and it isn't pretty." He opened the door and nudged her inside.
She looked at Spike as she walked inside. Inside curled up in the fetal position was Frankie. He looked up at her, and her heart broke.
His blank eyes looked right through her as he said, "Pretty green lights."
Dawn Osbourne woke up screaming. She looked over and rested a hand on her husband's shoulder. He rolled over and sleepily said, "Baby? Are you ok?"
She smiled at Frankie. "No, baby. Everything is fine."
