3rd Day On the third day of christmas, my true love sent to me Three nightmares
GIFT FOR foudebassan Pride and Prejudice Elizabeth/Darcy PG 165 words
Elizabeth, for all her sins, had never been jealous of her beautiful and generous sister Jane. Never… until now. The double wedding was over, and somehow – somehow – Jane and Bingley had managed to make their escape, whilst Elizabeth and Darcy were still making up the wedding party.
NOT the best day of her life; and NOT (Elizabeth fervently hoped) the best day of her married life. Indeed, quite possibly the worst.
“Marry me,” she murmured to Darcy, “and discover your very own nightmare.”
Mrs Bennet could be embarrassing when sober, but when she was two sheets to the wind (to use the vernacular), she was excruciating.
“Yes, two very rich men!” Elizabeth heard her boasting. “And Elizabeth marrying the richer, if you will credit it! Yes, well, of course you can’t expect everything. Jane married temperament – and money of course; Lydia married manners; and Elizabeth… well, at least he’s rich. Very rich.”
Please, thought Lizzie fervently, let all married life be an improvement on today.
Harry Potter Ron/Lavender, Ron/Hermione PG 59 words
“Urgh, urgh urgh…”
Ron thrashed about in his sleep, red hair tumbling over his face, his arms thumping his wife and awaking her with unpleasant suddenness from her slumber.
“Ron? Ron!” she said sharply.
Ron grunted, opened sleep-drugged eyes and gathered Hermione in his arms.
“Oh, thank God for that,” he murmured fervently. “I just dreamed I’d married Lavender.”
Harry Potter Lucius/Peter PG13 60 words
Peter lay on Lucius’s bed, naked and bound. He was writhing, as he had so eagerly anticipated… but not in the way he had anticipated.
“It hurts… it hurts…”
“Yes.”
“Lucius, you’re hurting me.”
“I know.” Malfoy’s voice was quiet but cold. “I intended to.”
Peter looked up into the other man’s eyes and saw his fantasy become a nightmare.
