GJ question
I'm sure those of you who are still in the process of moving from GJ or still follow the massive disaster currently in-progress already noticed this some time ago, but I only maintain a fanfiction dump that I rarely update. (More of a backup, really...I've been having computer problems and wanted to keep a backup of my work online in the event I can't resurrect my hard drive) So I don't post there all that often. But I decided today that, what the hell, I may as well have a reliable backup and move everything over here. Hello, IJ!
So folks, riddle me this: why do I now only have a single userpic that isn't even there? I understand GJ is running off a backup DB, so I would understand otherwise, but it looks as if the "latest journals updated" on the front page still have their default userpic. Some of these journals had been created well after mine had been. So it doesn't look to be an issue of falling back on an earlier database, and I'm guessing the only ones who got to keep their default userpic were those journals that updated on a daily basis.
Anyway, I suppose it's not an issue at this point, (though I do with I had been able to back up my icons...the originals are on the same hard drive with my fanfics) but if anyone has any theories/inside knowledge/dirt, I'd be more than happy to read about it.
