Anything else?: I've just started doing 13th/14th century reenactment so am in the process of getting all the equipment I need for that.
What type of reenactment? I participate in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) a medieval re-enactment group. My character/persona is 14th century french.
Not exactly sure. SCA is American isn't it? I'm in the UK and from the few groups I've talked to it seems to vary from group to group how strict they are with what equipment they'll allow you to use. The group I'm with (Carrick 800) seem pretty relaxed and as long as the clothing looks authentically 13th/14th century they'll let it slide if it's not the right material. The only group in the UK that seems to come close to having a standardised code across all the groups under it's Umbrella is The Sealed Knot Society, but that's an English Civil War group so it's 16th/17th century, and even then how strict they are above the minimum requirements varies from group to group as you do get some regiments that are very strict on what weapons you can carry (even within the medieval reenactment groups) depending on what Rank you are within the group.
Ooh, a Red Dwarf fan!
