The sky was just dark enough for Juliette to venture forth into the world. Her act didn't quite begin immediately so she had about an hour to waste. She had wrapped herself up in a long shawl though she was already dressed and ready to perform. Still, best keep herself covered - no sense in giving away the goods for free. It was good, in her opinion, to wander through and get a good look at the patrons of the carnival. Who would be fine to hunt? Who would cause them trouble? The air was teeming with possibility, heartbeats a flood of wild rhythm in her ears.
She had been to Arizona before, of course, but she disliked the desert. There was no life here, nothing of substance - just sand and strange creatures clinging desperately to life. She spotted him from a distance - the sweet human who knew nothing. He had felt her fangs, though she had never bitten him properly, and still believed it was all pretend. "Mon cher, what are you doing all the way out here?" she cooed, slipping an arm around Charles's middle both to be friendly and to steady him should the need arise. It would be nothing to carry him through the carnival but it might cause a bit of a scene. "What can I help you with?" Although she didn't keep pets like Eva, she did have a fondness for the sickly thing who'd never done her a bit of harm.
