Who: Everybody (free for all tagging)
When: First thing in the morning
Where: Living room
Cecilia was pretty sure Neptune was suffocating her. Sometimes that happened; he'd climb onto her chest while she slept to make sure she was alright, and he'd just stay there and fall asleep while a still sleeping Cecilia tried to figure out why she was having trouble breathing. Everything felt very heavy, and she was so hot it almost had an impact on her breathing. Finally Cecilia opened her eyes and gently pushed Neptune off of her, and found she was staring up at an unfamiliar ceiling.
The events of the previous day came back to her all at once, and she was immediately a great deal more awake and aware than she had just been a minute ago. Cecilia's head swam a little as she tried to get up, and she settled for sitting up on her elbows while she looked around. She saw Owen and that did worlds of good for her emotional state; she saw everyone else she even remotely cared about, and she sagged back down onto her back with a relieved sigh. “Never thought I'd be so happy to see some of you freaking people,” she mumbled, mostly to herself. She knew later she'd probably be overwhelmed by emotion; right now it was enough to just figure out what they were dealing with. Emotions could come later, preferably when she was alone. She unzipped her jacket and squirmed free of it, and took a better look around the room as she tried to summon up the energy to sit up and shed a few more layers. She could see the others stirring and-- Jesus Christ, Pam has a bucket. She didn't have to ask what was inside of it. How the heck was that thing still alive?
Cecilia cleared her throat, really wishing for a drink of water. She pulled her arms out from under her hoodie and shed that as well. Neptune sat at her side an cocked his head. “Gee Toto, I don't think we're in Mount Zenith anymore,” she murmured. Then, in a louder clear and calm tone, “Everybody okay?”
