Who : Tory and Vaughan
Where : The Police Station, North Conway!
What : Oops!

Once school was out and Tory was allowed to check the messages on his cell phone he would find one definitely out of the ordinary. It was from Vaughan and started off pleasantly enough. "Hey Tory, it's me. I know you're in class," and then it had turned strange, "but when you're done if you'd stop by my apartment. In the top draw of my dresser is some money, bring it down to the police station and bail me out of jail. Please? I got to go, bye. Oh yeah- don't worry. Bye."

It had been a very long day for Vaughan after making that phone call. It had been a long time since he'd been in jail, not since he'd lived in New York City. It was a bad news too, especially in such a small town like North Conway. He'd already made 'friends' with a police officer, Lieutenant DeSoto who was nice to him, made sure he was taken good care of, but also made sure Vaughan knew he was going to keep an eye on him when all this was over.

Vaughan sighed and kept one eye on the clock waiting for school to get out and then trying to figure out how long it would take Tory to get him.

'Don't worry' was not a statement that applied. As soon as Tory had heard Vaughan's voice and the mention of jail, he had been in a wreck, crying and then pouting, and sulking and being angry, all at once, while at the same time making his way into town. The people sitting around him on the bus probably thought he was mad as he muttered to himself in Italian while weeping and growling at the same time.

He stopped in the apartment, and fortunately Jensen was not there to answer questions to. Tory found the money and tucked it in his pocket, before heading to the police station. He had never been there before, but he knew where it was because North Conway was such a small town.

He pushed through the doors, a bundle of emotions, and it was a good thing no empaths worked there. He demanded to the front desk to be allowed to see Vaughan, and was instead lead to a counter where he posted bail and signed something and then demanded to see Vaughan again. He was pointed to a chair and told to have a seat while Vaughan was brought out.

It took about a half hour for the bail to be processed and Vaughan to be dealt with and to be released. De Soto warned Vaughan what he had to look forward to when he left and finally, with all of his possessions back in his hands (except for what was going to be used as evidence), he was lead out from the holding cells and into the lobby. Vaughan was determined to deal with Tory as quickly and as quietly as possible so he wouldn't cause a scene, especially if he was going to be seeing a lot more of these cops in the near future.

"Hey, Tory." He tried to sound nonchalant but it came off worried and unsure.

As soon as Tory laid eyes on Vaughan, he leapt to his feet and stalked over to him as fast as his short legs would carry him, glaring up at him with wet eyes.

"What did you do?!" he demanded, in Italian at first, so high were his emotions, before he translated himself. "What did you do?" If Vaughan had been thrown in jail, it was obviously for something bad! He poked him in the chest with a fingertip. "What did you do?" he repeated. he was angry, but really that was just a cover for great worry, and it was that worry that showed in his eyes.

He laughed a little bit when the first thing Tory said to him was in Italian but the laughter died when he began jabbing Vaughan in the chest with his fingers. He took Tory's hand and pulled him towards the doors, ignoring the curious eyes of some of the other people in the lobby and the annoying smirk that curled DeSoto's mouth as he leaned against the door frame. "Come on, let's get out of here."

"That is not an answer!" Tory declared, and he let himself be tugged along only because he was too preoccupied with being angry to protest. He didn't mind making a scene - in fact he was very good at it. Because he let his emotions come flooding out whenever and wherever. And right now it was at Vaughan, in the middle of the police station.

"What did you do?" he demanded agaion as he was pulled outside. "You are in jail!!"

	"No, I'm not in jail anymore. I was in jail." And now he had a hearing in court in a few weeks. He just didn't think it was a good idea to let him know something like that right off the bat. 	Tory's eyes widened. "You were stealing again?!" he demanded, because as far as he was aware, Vaughan had stopped that when he had gotten his job working for the landlord at the apartment building. 	"I'm not going to go to jail for good." Vaughan reassured him wondering if maybe he should have lied. He could have told Tory he'd gotten into a fight or something...but he wasn't sure what the officer at the desk had told him about Vaughan's bail and the reason behind it. 	"Because I wasn't stealing." Vaughan answered, doing his best to not smile or concentrate on how cute Tory was being. It was impossible to take him serious when he was angry this way. 	"I don't believe you!" Tory retorted quickly. "They would not arrest you for not stealing! I am not stupid," he said in a huff and he swatted at Vaughan and then stalked down the street as if he would leave him there. He always was dramatic when he was upset. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Vaughan just sighed, looking down at his big, tear eyes. "I'm not afraid of trouble, Tory. It's like...why would I want to work for sixty hours a week and get, like, a grand or work for a few hours and make the same amount of money? It's a no brainer!" 	Tory jutted out his lower lip. "Because you do not want to go to jail," he replied. "Because you do not want to leave me alone. That is why!" He didn't see why Vaughan would risk himself. "I am not over reacting!" Tory replied. "I am worried about you! I do not want you to go to jail. Even if it is just for a year or whatever it could be!" It would be horrible being without Vaughan, and even more horrible to think of Vaughan in a prison cell every day.

He stepped closer to him, pressing a small hand to his chest. "I do not want anything to happen to you."
