Earlier that day, Finn had taken Malcolm back to Zener. He helped him settle in, took him out to the mall to buy a few things for his room that his son swore he couldn't live without and after an order in lunch of pizza, Malcolm finally seemed okay enough that he could leave. That was the easiest part of his day though. He still had to pack up his things and his cat and bring everything back to his room. He sent a text message to Braylen telling him he was 'home' and set about the task of unpacking assured that the teenager would show up as soon as he got the note.

It was good to be back, in a weird sort of way. His house had its own charms, being private and large and filled with things he loved but the same made it a depressing, somber place to be. He had meant to unpack straight away but the large puzzle he'd assembled earlier in the year, the largest puzzle in the world, in fact, was still stretched out over his floor and was more than a little distracting. He stood over it, examining it, a wan smile on his face as he scratched the top of one bare foot with the nails of the other.

Braylen, for one, was glad that Finn was returning to base. While he didn't mind visiting him at the house, it would be nice just to be able to walk down the hall - and not have to worry about waiting until Malcolm was asleep or out. It would be a bit of freedom.

So it wasn't long after the text that he went down the hall to the other's room. Walking that familiar path that he hadn't had a chance to walk since summer had begun. He was dressed as he usually was, in ratty jeans with torn knees and a thin black fitted t-shirt with an obscure punk band logo across the front. And of course the wild, disheveled hair.

Reaching Finn's room, he grinned at the door and then knocked. "Open up, luv."

Finn turned slightly to face the door, a happy little smile curling his mouth. It had been a while since he'd seen Braylen, the last few weeks had been really busy getting Malcolm ready for school and the way his son wanted to stay up as late as he could to hang onto those last few bits of summer. He felt like it had been much longer than that. "It's open, you know. Ana, get away from the door! Just be careful of the cat!"

"Ah, home sweet home, yeah?" Braylen said with a chuckle as he turned the knob and opened the door, nudging the large cat back with his foot so that she didn't escape into the hall. He shut the door behind him and took a moment to pet the ornery thing before kicking off his boots.

"How's it feel to be back?" he asked as he sauntered over to where Finn was, standing over the puzzle. He wrapped his arms around him from behind.

Finn smiled as he felt Braylen's added weight behind him and he reached down to slide a hand over his arm before patting the limb gently. "It feels good actually." He twisted around slightly to look over at him as if he were expecting something. "You're just in time to help me put away all the stuff I brought with me. I didn't think there had really been that much but I filled up the Suburban completely."

	"Oooh, I see," Braylen drawled out with a laugh. "You called me down here to help you unpack. I see what yer onto luv." He grinned and leaned up on his toes to kiss the back of Finn's neck. 	"Well I have those bags," he pointed to the three he'd carried in with him (one on each arm and one on his back) "And then there's more in the car so..." 	"Oh yeah?" Braylen brought one arm up, and then the other, letting them circle around Finn's neck as he looked up at him, their chests pressed together, a playfully coy look on his face. "Maybe I'm just emphasizing how small and skinny you are." Finn shivered when he felt the cool air and Braylen's lips against his back as he pushed open the door to his room. Everything was neat and in order, just the way he left it. He didn't bother turning the light on but he did kneel on the edge of the bed, tossing Braylen down onto his back over the mattress.

	He made a little caught off guard noise as Braylen pulled him down and kissed him but quickly recovered, slipping his arms around Braylen's narrow body and rolling over onto his back He didn't break the kiss even as this new vantage point allowed him to run his hands up over his back beneath his shirt. "Oh I don't think you'll be too worried about your bags 'n boxes," Braylen laughed as he helped Finn with his boxers. His eyes swept over him. "Yeah, that's much, much better," he purred. He licked his lower lip before he shrugged his shirt off, over his head, tossing it across the room. His jeans went next, and not surprisingly, he wasn't wearing anything under them. Once he was naked as well, he crawled up Finn's body to straddle him again.
