AAAAHHHH! For me? *is decidedly bouncy* Thank you so much! That was a delightful treat to find this morning! *hugs*
Also... "Mochimune didn't need to play any games with Yoshizumi -- couldn't, in fact -- because to do so would be to risk undermining the exquisite balance the actor was bringing to the role." made me realise only now, that Mochimune actually would lose, did he ever dare go up against Yoshizumi. Spectacularly. Because Yoshizumi would make Mochi fail, he'd make a miscalculation at some point, and Yoshizumi would not.
The entire scene simply conveyed that notion, and as close to canon as it was, characterisation-wise, there is no doubt that Mochi would suffer defeat. As usual, spot-on Mochi, perfect Yoshizumi... and now we're playing with Kenzaki, too. I love this universe!
Your language always makes me so jealous. I can think of few people who are able to make writing look so easy, to let the sentences flow so... effortlessly. (Not that it is easy to write or simple, that is not what I mean.)

Ah, this so brightened my day! *kisses*
