It was a surprisingly positive turnout for the last minute memorial put together by Daisuke, Katsumi, and the other Shinto Demi-Gods. It seemed that Bryan was well-known in the Catacombs. After all, it was difficult to forget a redheaded, Asian-featured, freckle-faced, dude with an Irish accent who carried around an Onmyodo staff (which to mundanes looked like a nifty fountain pen). Sure, his mood fluctuated which made him very unpredictable but he was generally well-liked, especially among the members of the Magic Guild and the Celtic demi-gods. He did have repoire with those from his home pantheon too.

The memorial had Bryan's staff at the center point, the staff was left at the scene as his body was taken away. There were even chard marks on it. Around the staff, incense, lit candles, flowers, coffee, and Kahlua stood as offerings. At the base was the portrait that someone at the Art Guild had made, copying a picture someone had.

Even though Daisuke really didn't want to, Natalie had insisted he lead it because of his status. Daisuke tried asking one of Bryan's good friends, who were all Celtic Demi-Gods, but they didn't know proper protocol. So Daisuke, who was admittedly out of practice when it came to Shinto, started with the prayers, which wasn't entirely complicated. He led the Shinto demi-gods to clap their hands and pray and hoped everyone else would follow. It was more to call attention to the gods to watch over Bryan as he made his next move and that he was loved.

Daisuke decided to kill the obituary offering mainly because Bryan's mother and her family didn't know his true nature so wound find it odd to receive a large sum of money. This was when the memorial took a more a western approach. People were allowed to share thoughts, feelings, and memories. It was during this time, the staff began to glow a purplish hue, which some took mention that Bryan was here listening.

"If we have nothing else to share, I call this memorial concluded... feel free to mingle if you wish," Daisuke mentioned, who remained stoic during most of the ceremony. At that moment, he rubbed his nose, hiding a few tears.
