Amaterasu talks with the son of an Ally Who: Amaterasu and Shuro Shimizu When: 12 October 2011, Evening Where: Shuro's Apartment What: Amaterasu isn't too happy her son is now a creature of the night. Rating: PG Status: Complete
Amaterasu was not having a good week. She hated Hecate. She hated her so much. Why were moon deities so self-centered and difficult? Normally, she'd pass around some sort of rumor that Hecate was sleeping with Apollo or some such and had some sort of evil creature living in her private area. However, what Hecate did now, indirectly, was just completely unforgivable. She pondered making appearance to the undead son, hoping her very appearance would cause him to turn to dust but thanks to Hecate's influence, she had difficulty peering through the darkness to find him. In fact, he lay in the same type of darkness where her son now lay. Even worse, she knew if she could see Daisuke and she could approach him, she would destroy him. The thought of it caused her eyes to fill up with tears. Even worse, she heard his cries for her. He never did that. It broke her heart. She loved all her children even she kind of had a hands off parenting style and usually only held them in the dreamscape. Even the stupid one who decided to throw away her gifts and become a second rate idol. Besides, she had over 1000 mortal children throughout Earth's existence. Only 100 of them were men and she didn't count the two transvestites or the samurai who got castrated because he slept with his Lord's wife (he was tedious and was not humble in regards to his divine heritage).
Hearing through the grapevine that Athena had given her kids some kind of video game (really? Video games were her people's thing. All the Greeks were known for nowadays were crashing the Euro!), she decided she needed to put her hand in the pot to stop this creeping darkness. While she hated the icky darkness, it was now personal. No one. NO ONE. Had the right to turn her child into a creature of the night. That was just a slap in the face. Who does that? Who turns a child of a solar deity into a vampire of all things? Amaterasu took Simon Renaud's name for further reference. Oh one day in which he would love to have her warmth, she won't give it.
She began to think about who she could tap to help. She had a few of her children in Japan at the moment and she couldn't ask them to stop with their current quests to go to NYC. She scanned the other Shinto demi-gods. There was that girl whose mom was Benten. No offense to Benten but she didn't really want to trust her children with a task this important. There was that Bryan O'Keefe... who besides being a creepy ginger, was one of her Moon Brother's children and felt kind of petty to not tap him. Then her mind wandered to Shuro Shimizu... the son of Thoth. Okay, so he wasn't one of her pantheon's but he was haffu (or a quarter?) so she felt she she could make the excuse of him being part of her people. Besides, Shuro did recently go on a quest with her son and they did know each other. It wouldn't be that so far of a stretch. And he was a better friend in her opinion than that creepy Raven kid that Daisuke seemed to tolerate.
After carefully picking out her outfit, waffling briefly over whether to go traditional or more of a fashion plate from the Kansai region (she ended up going for the latter), she traveled the sunrays down into Shuro's apartment close to the time he would be coming home. She sat in a pool of afternoon sunlight in one of his neatly cleaned chairs. She wore tight, white dress with gold trim that seemed to shimmer like the rays of sunlight she sat in. The A-hemline shaped out her godly curves. She wore tasteful gold jewelry that almost looked like it could be made from the sun. She wore a pair of plain gold high heels, probably the least flashy of her outfit. Her black hair lay in curls that cascaded down her back. Her bangs were held back with two diamond clips. She also wore a wide brimmed hat that matched her dress and shared a similar shimmering trim. She had a pair of big sunglasses that she took off and held in her lap.
She took out a compact mirror, her actual relic in the mortal world, and began to touch up her lipstick waiting for Shuro to return home. She held herself in good posture, her back not leaning against the chair, and sitting on the very edge of it.
