A/N: Being a late 16th/early 17th century pastiche. I had to set this some years later, actually, making it late Elizabethan, because I discovered that the Renaissance wasn't all that hot on Alchemy. This piece wouldn't be what it is if I hadn't been able to consult Peter Ackroyd's "The House of Doctor Dee" and some rather... odd... treatises. katilara and erastes graciously offered their skills as betae. Kimberly is Kimblee here, and any remaining mistakes are my own, obviously. Enjoy! :)

Pairing: Eagle/Geo, Lantis/Eagle.

Prompt: Magic Knight Rayearth/Full Metal Alchemist: old Europe where people only get powers through the use of alchemy [fic]
Summary: These days, he even has troubles sleeping. If he's not having nightmares, he just doesn't want to wake up. Eagle burns away more letters than the ones he sends back.
Notes: Er, not as much alchemy as the prompt said. Set during the Ishbal war, mostly manga-inspired.

I. To claim: Leave a comment here with your choice from Column A and B (and Column C, if applicable). [Ex. Bleach - Ocean's Eleven or (caper in Las Vegas)] Each fandom, alt-verse and prompt can be claimed a total of four times (twice for fic and twice for art).

II. You will be expected to write at least 1,000 words for each combination you claim. There is no max.

III. Collaborations are welcome.

IV. Please be patient. I will note your claim as soon as I am able to.

V. You may claim up to three different combinations.

I'll begin taking claims at 12:01 EST, August 6th. There is no limit to the number of prompts you can claim.

How's it going to work?

- Writers/Artists will be asked to pick one fandom from Column A, one alt-verse from Column B and create a crossover/fusion/AU piece (fic or art) for us to ooh and ahh over. You will also have the option of choosing a prompt/pairing from Column C, should you want some extra inspiration*.

- Please put forth your best effort. Don't just throw the characters into a different world and repeat canon verbatim. Keep it IC and make it fresh and interesting. Be creative!

- You have three options:

A. Crossover: What is a crossover? "A story which straddles two different fandoms. Can be as close as mixing characters from different universes within a genre (ie. Batman/Wolverine) or as wildly disparate as you can imagine (ie. Buffy/Teletubbies)." [courtesy of The Fanfiction Glossary] (Chad and Ichigo meet Sam and Dean, Sam meets Nagi and they get their TK on... etc)

B. Fusion: What is a fusion? "A type of crossover wherein the characters in one series, instead of meeting the characters in another series, actually replace them in the continuity." [- The Fanfiction Glossary] (Chad and Ichigo are brother demon hunters on the trail of 200 demons that escaped from hell. The Odd Couple! starring L and Raito. It's A Wonderful Life! featuring Ginji.)

C. AU: Story set in a universe which is radically altered from the actual canon universe. (Chad/Ichigo in a classic car on a road trip from hell. Yakuza!Soul Society)

- Fic must be at least 1,000 words. There is no max.

- Some of the suggestions submitted allow participants the option of cross-over or fusion possibilities. (For example - chichirinoda's submission of (Supernatural: Road trip from hell in a classic car). You can play with that two ways. Let's say you choose Bleach from Column A and the above from Column B. You can create say a Bleach/Supernatural fusion or simply create a Bleach AU (using Supernatural's plot). Keep that in mind!
