X-Men Genesis: OOC

Sooo. Players permitting, we'd like to continue with the Liberty Island idea. (Which involves the use of Rogue and the Brotherhood, as well as Deadpool. All of whom would battle a group of X-Men.) This should be happening around the first week of August (in-game). Right now it's the last week of July.

After this thread was completed, Magneto would be apprehended and wind up in jail ala X2. The Brotherhood would be separated then. It seems that our group of players here isn't really keen on the Brotherhood in the first place, so we're finding places for them to be / purposes for each of them after Magneto's gone. I assume Mystique will be attempting to spring Magneto.

While Magneto is in prison, Stryker will be visiting him. These visits will happen through the month of August. Stryker will launch an attack on the X-Mansion in hopes of obtaining what was necessary for him to make his own Cerebro, and fail. There are far too many X-Men for him to succeed in the confines of this game. This will happen in early September.

Throughout the month of September, the Mutant Registration Act will be passed and school (the fall semester) will be starting for Xavier's Institute. The use of sentinels will go public.

In early October, several simultaneous attacks by sentinels will occur in the New York area. During this evening, the X-Men will be separated into several teams to help control the damage and (hopefully) take out the sentinels. This is when Stryker will return to the mansion to finish what he started. He will succeed.

So I need to hear from all of you if you wish for your characters to be out fighting sentinels or in fighting MRDs/Stryker. Super-powerful mutants or those with great control shouldn't be left at the school. The 'Bash Brothers' - Britannic, Colossus and Warpath will be fighting sentinels. The Professor and Phoenix should be gone as well. Please let us know what you think and where you'd like your characters to be!

Also, I'd really, really like people to include 'X' in some of their threads. Either mention of it, or problems with people/attacks, or discussing the issue itself, anything. If you need suggestions, let us know. :D

Hey folks. I just wanted to say that we've lost another pair of Jeanix/Scott. Raven and Joey have decided to leave the game. So, if anyone is interested in either of those characters, let me know.

Hey kids. Just wanted to let everyone know officially that Cathy has left the game due to RL being hectic/other priorities. So, Northstar and Silver aren't with us. If anyone is interested in JP, lemme know. Also, due to inactivity in their players, Rogue and Wallflower are now open. They (as well as Northstar) are on the holds page, ready for new muns.

And as a side note, should we still have our Wolverine (I don't know what's going on with Aubrey), he isn't at the school yet and he isn't a teacher. I just wanted to make that clear. Some people are confused on the fact. Aubrey wanted him to be strictly new to the scene. And the game is based around the fact that he hasn't shown up yet (i.e. Genesis).

Anyway, I got around to posting replies (finally), sorry about the delay.

I've given xmen_genesis a moodtheme - one I created a few years back. You can see it here, and use it for any of your posts. I'll be adding it to the OOC soon, I hope.

I've also updated the communities' layouts, as well as xalted's. I hope they look cleaner and prove to be more useful/functional.

We may or may not be losing a few folks (probably our Havok). I'm not sure yet. But the activity check is done.

I wanted to ask you guys to please use spellcheck and check your grammar and punctuation. It's one of the rules and I really don't want the quality of the writing to go downhill. It's hard to read and distracting, y'know? Also, please remember to use tags, IC and OOC. :D

Also, I wanted to suggest that we write up some meat-and-potatoes scenes - utilizing the subplots. We have MRDs running around, and there are infinite opportunities to make mention of mutants being drained for X. So, think on it. If you need any of my characters, lemme know.

I'd hate to do one so soon after the last, but everyone's been busy and we've dropped a few people, so I need to know who all is left. Please respond by the weekend sometime. I have a wedding on Sunday, so I won't be contacting/removing anyone until Monday. I have a pretty good idea of who's still around and wanting to play, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Also, I apologize for slacking a bit in my scenes. I'm the matron of honor for this upcoming shindig and there've been lots of things to get done. Blah. But I'm going to be posting today and hopefully starting some new threads. Jordan and I have almost completed some backdated logs between Gambit/Levity and Mars/Zap, so those should be up soon. On with the updating...

I just wanted to say "hello!" and that I'm sorry I disappeared. Rob and I have been without internet for three days. So, to those I'm threading with currently - I'm sorry! I went to my sister's house to update a few times but she's been out running around with errands and doctor's appointments (and no damned cellphone) and Jordan's been super busy. Hey folks. Beck here ala Kiernan. I just wanted to mention that Jordan and I re-wrote a scene that had been completed, but with a character that is no longer in the game. So, it's all new and up to date and includes Mirage and Dukes (Blob). So, check it out: right here.

LONG OVERDUE!

( CLASSES @ XAVIER'S )

Hey guys! :) I wanted to make mention that I'd dropped a few characters and picked one up. I'll be playing Dukes (aka Blob), and I've made a few of my characters adoptable NPCs.

Diamond, Toad, Cyclops and Warp are now adoptable NPCs.
Trance is now solely an NPC.

The load was too much and I didn't want to keep characters that others were interested in. Speaking of which, I've already talked to a new Emma potential, and left word with a possible pair of players looking into Scott and Jean (and Mystique). So, yay. ^_^

For specific interactions with those characters that I've dropped to NPC status, please don't hesitate to ask me to write out a scene with you as them until they are taken. I'll gladly write them and we can all make mention of them in threads/scenes. So for you Havoks, Sabretooths, Britannics and all the men who <3 Emma, they'll be around. Don't feel like they're lost! :) I just couldn't be responsible for that many and do them all justice.

There have been some issues related to past players (from here, or from x_aftermath_x) and I wanted to set some things straight. If you have a problem with sex scenes/"smut", please don't read it, or ask for a summary. This game is marked 'adult'. And all of the entries are labeled with descriptions and ratings. None of you have complained, but apparently my enjoyment in writing love scenes has upset people in the past. So if someone has something to say, please do so. Don't keep things bottled up. It's how problems start.

Finally, as a relatively new development, I will not talk about other players behind their backs. I will not complain or gossip about them. If you come to me looking to gossip, don't expect much of a response. If you have complaints about other players (for any reason), I'll listen and try my hardest to handle the situation so everyone is happy. If I have ill feelings toward a player or character, I will either keep them to myself or express them politely in an effort to keep everyone happy and so things stay open and honest. In the past, I avoided sharing opinions of dislike simply to avoid hurting people's feelings. I've learned that most people just want to hear your honest opinion. If this isn't true for you, let me know. I'll completely understand. It is, however, true for me. So if anyone has any issues with my style of writing or modding or any of my characters, please don't think I'll get angry with you for expressing yourself. Via e-mail, IM, PM or comments, I'll listen to whatever anyone has to say. Thanks guys. :)

Jordan and I spent a lot of the day rearranging our answers on our character surveys, and Rob did as well, when he got home. If any of you new guys want to participate, they're right here - Character Survey, as well as the Sexy Survey. Amanda - feel free to rearrange as well.

These aren't mandatory and are meant to be for fun, so if you don't think they're fun, ignore 'em. :) Some of our previous members found them pointless/offensive, I guess? - which is why I rearranged so the more risque questions were on one and the basic questions were on another.

Anyway, we have lots of plot in store. Don't forget to keep your wanted scenes updated when you think up new stuff/accomplish threads. Check each other's out. :D

Hi guys. I wanted to ask for some feedback on a feature within the game.

Should we friend-lock/make entries private?

Please please please comment with your thoughts, either way.

I'm suggesting we do this for the simple fact that I don't like the idea of strangers reading and commenting on my personal writings. Of course there's the option of only locking certain entries, but I like things to be uniform. So. Ideas? Thanks folks.

New Rule: (And this won't happen very often.) Leigh suggested this, so credit to her for this courteous (and helpful) new 'guideline'. It simply suggests that we finish our threads instead of dropping them, whether they get written out or summarized. See it here: #15.

Also, we'll be starting tomorrow after I post an opening OOC. All in character posts should be postponed until then. I know a lot of you have written up loads of posts that are ready to go. :D I don't have much planned to get finished before then, but a few things are in mind.

Finally, I've tweaked one of my OCs, which in turn has affected several OCs. Zakiya/Zap (zapster is now the birth mother of Brogan (another_murphy). She and Ronan/Mars (upgradeyou) concieved him when she was 17, married a year or so later and have raised him happily (I think, at least) since. So, my character Americus/Trance (tranced) is now his (Brogan's) blood relative, a cousin. His uncles consist of Conlan/Sentient (sentient_), who is played by Rob, and my new OC (as I have a crippling Murphy addiction - can you blame me? ---> Murphy brothers), Kiernan/Grasp (inmygrasp). He will have a profile before tomorrow. *vows* So, the basement rats have their own little one to spoil and terrorize as they see fit (ie: Forge, Matrix, Jeanix, Britannic, Chamber, possibly Kitty, Sentient, Trance, Beast, etc), not to mention some scandalous craddle-robbing backdates (17/26) to gossip about.

P.S. Don't forget to tag your ICs and your OOCs. And check out your new player's intro which I have unfortunately buried: Bree. Yay Kitty.

Beck <--- me. I'm 23 (24 in May), love to laugh a lot and inject humor into anything I can... I love doing coding and making graphics. I like languages, history, sci-fi, astrology (go Tauruses!) and all sorts of things, including X-Men. I'm married to Rob, who will be posting his stuff soon, and I'm friends in real life with Jordan, who will also be playing with us. Leigh and I are pretty tight e-buds, too. I like to play men more than women, but I keep things balanced. So here they are.
