And this was where the grand tour stopped: the kitchen. Eva (her sister) had spent a big chunk of the morning showing her around the school and its grounds, explaining the rules, etc. As far as Lucia was concerned, she'd need a map of this place to get around without getting completely turned around. But then again, Luce tended to get lost in her backyard, so she probably was used to wandering around without a clue.
"Aren't you gonna show me what's downstairs, Eva?" the cute, bubbly brunette asked as she hoisted her little butt up onto one of the chairs surrounding the island. She scooted herself forward a bit and rested her elbows upon the granite surface and glanced over at Eva, who was still lingering in the doorway. Someone was clearly anxious to get back to work, it seemed.
"Later," the more colorful of the two replied with a knowing smirk. "I promise... after I get some work done."
Insert eyeroll here. "Oh c'mon! You just got back!" Luce complained, whining a little. "And I'm new around here," she added with a pout. This basically translated to 'please don't leave me alone!' It wasn't like she knew anyone else here... Not that Lucia was completely incapable of getting around and making friends on her own, but this place was new. And very big. Gargantuan even. What if she got lost?
Yeah, she was a bit intimidated.
Besides, she just wanted to spend more time with Eva in general. They'd just begun developing their sisterly relationship and dammit, Luce wanted more bonding time!
"I'm sure they'd understand...."
Eva shook her head a bit and smiled. "Fine," she said, giving into Lucia's demands finally. "What do you want to do then?" Matrix asked, cross her arms beneath her chest.
Hmm. Luce began thinking of possible activities they could partake in with each other. "How about a movie?" she suggested after a few moments of contemplation. "Oh, we can make popcorn!" Lucia added excitedly, as she slipped back off the chair and halfway towards what she thought was the pantry, she stopped and turned back to look at Eva again. "You guys do have popcorn, right?"
Matrix's eyebrows went up slightly. "Of course we do." This was a school and popcorn was a regular snack for those who were both watching movies and cramming for exams.
"Cool." Lucia did an about-face and went back to fixing them a couple bags of popcorn to share.
