Just a fun city log-- OPEN
Who: Orpheus and OPEN
When: Wednesday, September 19, 2007.
Where: A yet to be named upscale lounge/night club in New York City
What: An evening of socializing and listening to jazz.
Status: In Progress.
Rating: PG-13 for alcohol and possible innuendo.
Wednesday nights usually tended to be Wolf's only night off every week. Mondays and Tuesdays were rehursals, Thursday-Sunday were performances. Wednesday usually was the only time he had to himself. Of course, he spent it by socializing and making connections in all the upscale lounges in NYC. One thing his father taught him was that connections is the only way to get anywhere in life. It is even an extra boost if you were also talented. Wolf could be counted as that too. He had the talents in music, performing, and also was given the genetic gift of being a mutant, something he wasn't entirely open with. He would drop hints here and there to see if anyone would pick up on it, but otherwise, to tell people he was would give away his secret on why his audience would be so overcome with emotion. It was like a magician giving away his secrets.
It was probably close to nine o'clock and Wolf was dressed in formal casual wear; a pair of black slacks, a powder blue shirt, and a black blazer. He leaned against the bar sipping from an appletini as he listened to the mellow jazz band up on stage. He really liked all types of pure music. He just didn't care for the overly commericalized stuff. He disliked most rap except some old R&B was okay. He hated a lot of the current bands, except he really liked messing with emo kids when walking down the street. They wanted to feel depressed listening to that type of music? Well, he'll make them feel depressed. He liked older rock and found he liked a lof of Billy Joel. That was an idea that was kicking in his head... orchestrated Billy Joel selections. Of course he had to work through copyrights and such before he would think of doing such.
As he sipped his drink, he looked about the room. It was a bit quiet since it was a Wednesday evening. He did his own form of checking out of various people, giving the eyes to the ladies. He also subtly checked out some of the men. But he wasn't yet open with his attraction to them. Call it Catholic Guilt. At the moment he watched, appraising the scene before jumping in. He already tossed a couple of jokes towards the bartender, a female, who he was on a first name basis with... her name Michelle.
"What do you think of that sentinal attack?" She asked Wolf curiously as she set another appletini in front of him.
Wolf smirked, "Irritating. It seems like no one watches Science Fiction movies anymore. Because, that is a basis for reality." His last comment was a bit sarcastic. His manner of speaking seemed to have a slight accent, like a second generation accent. "I mean, have you seen the Terminator?"
