The night was warm, but there was still a sting of chill in the air. leftover bit of Winter that still lingered. It served as a reminder that there was still a danger of frost to overtake the plants and flowers that were starting to regenerate after enduring the harsh weather that had plagued them for the past few months. However, Spring was making its presence loud and clear by giving them mild weather and scattered showers, which was a nice change of pace. And despite the fact of being in the midst of a would-be Apocalypse, Wren still had enough optimism left to appreciate it.
Wren had found herself a nice, stone bench in the garden and she had taken up residence there with a good book; she was dressed in a light jacket, a casual button-down top, a pair of jeans (something of a rarity for her), and some tennis shoes, while she immersed herself in the tales of Lewis Carroll.
Truth be told, nighttime was the worst time for her on most days... and most of the time, she found herself holed up in a corner of the library or in her own bedroom.
Tonight, however, she wanted a change of scenery - and what better way to do that but go outside and enjoy a bit of a fresh air? It had been a long time since she left the confinements of the mansion; in fact, Wren couldn't even recall a time that she had set foot outdoors since she had arrived. And perhaps the reason for that was because she was still a bit paranoid about what was out there - the Darkseekers and the less savory characters that were now residing at the mansion made her increasingly nervous. Yes, that seemed the most logical reasoning behind her sudden fear of the outside world. But, she was pushing those fears out for her head - at least for one night, anyway.
