Galen exited the meeting as soon as he could. He was angry and frustrated. The grass around him whipped about echoing his mood. He glanced back at the brotherhood dorms and then towards the mansion. He was forbidden to visit his brother, but he had to know why. He had to know what had happened and that meant asking someone other than Mystique, or Magneto (who would probably kill him if he said so much as boo after Tabby's disrespectful bout). He started towards the mansion; waiting would not soften the news.
There was an awful lot on Scott's plate. Rebuilding what had been destroyed, overseeing the training of certain members, and of course the day to day running of the School itself. Not to mention the mounting personal troubles that plagued him. He didn't even want to think about Demon and the trouble he'd been causing. Unfortunately, it seemed he would have no choice in that matter. He was on the way to take note of the reconstruction of one of the breached walls when he realized his path was going to intersect with that of the unidentifiable individual in the distance, that was until he finally got closer to know who it was. His expression was stern, obviously suspecting what was on the mutant's mind.
Galen was drawn up short by seeing one of the men who had taken his brother away standing ahead of him in the distance. He checked his movements to intercept Scott. As he drew closer, his purposeful stride became more hesitant. His heart hammered heavily in his chest and it took him a bit to gather his courage. "Mr. Summers, I would like to speak with you if it is possible." He said as respectfully as he could given both his nerves and his discomfort over the situation.
Scott was incredibly busy, but could he fit in time to talk to Galen over his brother's current predicament? Sure he could. Did he want to though? Not in the slightest. Demon's little seductions had been a major problem for Scott, it was one of the first signs of what he feared, that the Brotherhood would simply do as they pleased in a place that Scott held sacred; Xavier's. He really had little sympathy for the mutant at the moment. He didn't try and avoid Galen, but he didn't slow his stride either, this would either force him to walk along with him wherever it was he was heading off to in such a determined step, or to simply be left behind. Scott didn't seem very friendly or even give him the courtesy of eye contact when he spoke. “I’m pretty busy.” He said in reply, but then added after he finally acknowledged Galen with a glance. “What is it?”
Galen twisted and fell into step. For a split second he felt irritation and half considered stopping the other man's movement. That thought was quickly banished. It would be the stupidest thing in the world to do. He was silent for a while after Scott's question, gathering himself, preparing for whatever answer he might get. "I would like to know what my brother did exactly to warrant getting locked up."
His pace did not relent, but at least he wasn't picking it up either to try and lose Galen. Not that he would have anyway, he wasn't going to avoid this. Evasion was what he was doing with his wife. This? This he could handle, albeit with some irritation. " Your brother's been seducing X-Men and residents, most likely using his powers to do it too, and doing it in public places. I don't care what kind of sick show Magneto ran before he came here, but Xavier's isn't a that kind of place. "
Galen scowled as he felt his anger rise. It sounded to him like nothing more than amorous flirting his brother did all the time. All people had to do was growl at him or say they weren't interested and there was no problem. At least that had been Thorn's experience. "So, he flirted and people took it badly?" There was a slight edge to his voice. "Anyone ASK him to stop?"
“I don't know all the details, but what I have heard is that whoever your brother seduced, they weren't interested in him. At least not like that. He used his powers, and that's all I really need to know. “It may not have sounded like much of a charge, and maybe it wasn't, but for Scott all it took was something like that to act. The Professor may have said that they should be patient with Magneto's crew, but he wasn't going to just let one of their members run around with a wild libido. Scott stopped, finally giving Galen at least that much courtesy, but it was more because he didn't feel the need to justify the charges than anything. A mild degree of anger was evident in his tone, but Scott managed to keep it from really spilling out in a hostile manner. "This is still a school. Do any of you understand that? We do actually have some children here, so if it takes some time in the detention cells for your brother to understand that Xavier's isn't a brothel where you can just have sex anywhere with anyone you want, then so be it. The world is ending, and all he can think about is getting his next conquest. "
Galen was stricken dumb by the accusation that his brother used his power to make someone be with him. He was about to protest that Jason wouldn't DO such a thing but he flashed back to the thing with Wanda before they had come here. He hated that he doubted that Jason wouldn't do that. Galen looked away. At least he could understand why they had felt the need to do this. "Thank you for the explanation." He said tensely. He needed time to think about this. He paused as he was heading away. "Are you sure? That Jason used his powers to..." his voice was tense as he made himself say it. "to force that other person?"
The flash of hesitation in Galen's expression inspired some sympathy. He had no form of prior experience with him, so he didn't know how he was going to react to the claims. He suspected that he wouldn't have cared, but Scott recognized something in his glance that suggested he was aware of the gravity of it, and maybe even the ethical dilemma of it. He softened some, and let out a sigh. He might have not liked the Brotherhood, been swamped with problems, and irritated by this interruption, but Scott wasn't heartless. “I don't know, for sure. It seems that way. This is temporary of course, but I have to keep him there for now. Until he learns. “A second later, and he'd glance to the wall and then back to Galen.” Look, maybe you could go see him. I wasn't going to permit many visitors, but if you could talk to him, encourage some change in his attitude, then maybe I can get him released sooner. I'm not making any promises, though. "
There was nothing he would want more in the world than to speak with his brother. But he wasn't allowed and he wasn't fool enough to go against that order. The grass around him swayed and thrashed, acting as anxious and torn as Thorn himself was. "I...I can't" He pushed out. "I want to, but I can't see him yet." He didn't mention he was forbidden to do so. That was a brotherhood matter.
Scott's brow quirked. He hadn't expected that, but he wasn't going to question it. It was probably some private matter, or some unresolved issue between the two. Whatever it was, it wasn't really his business. He might have commented on the fact the Brotherhood forbade him from seeing his brother if he'd known, but he didn't. Still, Scott wasn't being as cold or insensitive as he was initially. At least the irritation was gone, but the sense of being in a hurry was not. “Well, when you are ready to see him, I'll make sure you're clear to go.”
He had no idea when that might be, but it was good to hear that. "Thank you." He said again. "I should be heading back." Well now he knew, and it didn't really help at all. If only he could speak with his brother.
