Who: Diana, Tabitha, OPEN
When: Sunday, August 10th, 2008 (early morning)
Where: Xavier's; Brotherhood Dorms
What: After the after prom party
Status: in progress
Rating: PG-13

Diana giggled and swayed. "Wow, what a ride." So much teleporting in such a short spanse of time had her a bit loopy and lightheaded. "Damn but we cut it a bit short." She hadn't even realized that she had left her own dress on the beach. She did notice the rays of sunlight now breaking the horizon. She could feel the open giddiness of being able to be anywhere she wanted being torn away as the new day began. Her heart was beating heavily with adrenaline from when she had been worried about being able to get back. That didn't help her focus or make her brain work any quicker or better after teleporting that much.

This had been Boom Boom's first experience with teleporting, so needless to say she hadn't quite gotten used to it yet. She also felt a little off kilter once they had finally appeared inside her room, but she had reached out to grasp Diana by the shoulders to keep from toppling over. Maybe she should've drank a little less booze? Maybe that would've helped? Nah.

"Yeah, you can say that again." Despite feeling a little bit like she had motion sickness, she had had a really good time with Troy and Diana - even if Troy had wanted to go off and be alone after a while.

"Hey, you want to sleep over tonight?" Tabby asked once she had regained her barrings and took a seat on the edge of her bed, which looked slightly rumpled; Tabby wasn't much of a housekeeper. It was super early and she highly doubted that any of the Brotherhooders had stayed up to make sure she got home okay, therefore she was sure no one would be stopping by her room. "There's an extra bed," she said, gesturing to her left now. That bed had been empty since her arrival at the Institute all those months ago, so she sheets were still clean. "And we can take a shower." Not together! But, she figured they both mutually felt the need to clean up.

Diana leaned into Tabitha, letting her friend help keep her up. Then she blushed and moved back. "Oh hell," she just realized she was still naked. As she realized exactly where she was and where her clothes were a look of horror crossed her face. She couldn't walk back to the mansion NAKED. She looked out the window towards the mansion. "Oh man," she groaned. "What was I thinking? I can't go back there like this."

She relaxed at Tabitha's offer. "That would be great." She rubbed her eyes and made sure Tab's door was closed. "I don't suppose I could borrow a shirt or something?" To sleep in tonight at least. She'd figure out what to do to get back to the school later, like when her brain decided to work again. "It looks like I left MY clothes back on the beach."

"Sure, they're in there," another gesture was made towards the dresser. "In the second drawer. I have a crap-load of long t-shirts in there to sleep in." True to Tabby's non-girlie nature, she didn't have any fancy pajamas or lingerie included in her sleepwear.

Tabitha hadn't been fazed by Diana's still-nakedness, however. It wasn't like she had anything she hadn't seen before. "You can go clean up in the bathroom if you want." She'd shower up after she was finished and while she waited, she'd find herself something to wear to bed.

Diana headed over to the dresser mentioned and pulled out the first shirt on top. "Thanks Tabs, you're the best." They did have a lot in common. Diana almost always slept in just a shirt and occasionally some loose pants.

"I'll be quick." She said as she ducked into the bathroom. Using Tabitha's shampoo and soap she quickly cleaned up, feeling tired from the long night. Staying up all night until sunrise was something she hadn't done before. She stepped out and dried herself off, then dried her hair a bit. She wrapped the towel around her hair after putting on the shirt and exited singing softly to herself the song that got stuck in her head. "Seen the morning light, seen the morning light, and its not because I'm an early riser, I just never got to sleep last night."

She stopped singing and thumped down on the unrumpled bed. "Your turn."

She had gathered what she intended to wear to bed before Diana had returned the room. When she did Tabby grinned a little at. "Nice singing voice," she commented, the grin widening somewhat teasingly. "You should audition American Idol." However she didn't stick around for a reply, instead she headed into the bathroom and closed the door behind her.

It took her about five to ten minutes to do what she needed to do, before she reemerged. She was wearing too was wearing a long t-shirt, though this one was noticeably worn out and was sporting a few holes here and there.

"So, do you want to get some sleep or do you want to do something else?" she asked, plopping herself back down onto her own bed and stretched her limbs a bit. She could go either way at the moment. Tabby had been a bit tired when they had first arrived back at the dorms, but she was quickly realizing she was starting to get a second wind.

Diana snorted at Tabitha's comment. Though she did know she could sing, or at least carry a tune. It was one of the few talents she had that she was actually proud of. Still she couldn't get the courage to sing in front of a crowd, let alone on TV.

When Tabitha came out, Diana considered her question. She was tired, but she didn't know if she felt like going to sleep yet. She flopped her self sitting on Tabitha's bed. "I could stay up a bit longer." She looked outside. "This used to be about the time I would be waking up for my run." She shrugged. "So... what could we do?"

Hmm. Tabitha fell silent for a moment, trying to come up with an activity for them to do. There wasn't much to do within the Institute's grounds and just because all of them were 'Billy Badasses' up in the Brotherhood dorms didn't mean it wasn't equally as boring as the rest of the place.

"Oh!" Then it came to her: Playstation 2. Yeah, she had yet to have the time to upgrade to the third generation of the console. No one seemed to be taking her request very seriously whenever she added to that stupid ass list the X-Men kept in their spotless kitchen. Retards. "We can mess around with the PS2 for a while."

Tabby didn't like leaving it unattended, so she usually unhooked it and brought it back to her room whenever she and the others were done playing with it. Who ever said Boom Boom didn't ever take care of her own shit?

"One sec," she said, just before she bounced off the bed and went over to her dresser. She squatted down and reached for the bottom drawer, and when she opened it she pulled out a black, retangular-shaped box. The PS2. The Holy Grail, baby.

"But," she continued once she had closed the drawer and headed back over to her own bed with it, "we're gonna have to go into the common room to use it. You cool with that?" She didn't see the big fuss in it, but Silver might not feel comfortable at the prospect of running into one or more of 'the Others' that lived in that very building.

Diana perked up a bit. Video games hardly needed a working brain. It was so hard to get a spot with the TV AND game systems up at the mansion, given the kid ratio there. (And not all those kids were under 18). She usually didn't bother. It wasn't like she had one growing up anyways. "That sounds great. What kind of games do you have? And can we get some soda?" If she was going to stay up even longer it would be necessary. Caffeine would be her savior. Plus it was kind of compulsorily for gamers to have soda and snacks while playing.

She paused at the question of being out in the main area, not because of the people so much as because of her dress. The purple long shirt was fine enough for sitting in Tabitha's room. "It's cool with me as long as I can borrow some shorts or sweatpants or something." Most of the brotherhood she had seen didn't seem all THAT bad, and she trusted Tabs could run off any of the others if they started really bothering her.

It didn't take long for Tabby to go around collecting what they needed for a respectable early morning video game party: Soda, a slew of video games and some snacks she had stashed around her room. Before they knew it, they were sitting in front of the rather large TV set in the common room, getting ready to play their very first round of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

While they game loaded and went through its opening sequences, Tabby passed a soda and a bag of chips over to Diana with a grin. "Ever played Mortal Kombat before?" Silver didn't really seem like the gamer type to her, but Tabby didn't like assuming too much about people.... Well, okay, so she did do that sometimes, but Diana seemed to be full of surprises. Boom Boom was still a bit surprised that Di had taken them (her and Troy) to the Caribbean, let alone agree to skinny dipping.

Diana plopped down on the ground and arranged some cushions to make herself comfortable. She opened the soda and bag before putting them someplace easily reachable. "No, isn't it a button mashing game?" As in you hit as many buttons as possible and hope they do something cool enough to win. She took a deep drink of her soda and sighed in enjoyment as she imagined she could feel the caffeine working.
