Tony wasn't home. That was certain to get Warren's annoyance high when he arrived at the modern glass and steel home.

Now that in it's own right wasn't unusual. Tony was often not home, that or he was home, he was just pretending that he wasn't, and had locked himself up in the garage working. But he wasn't there either.

In fact, the house was empty and silent, save the computerized voice of Jarvis greeting Warren as he made his way in. Tony was out, it said, and would be returning shortly. The house sent Tony's phone a ping, to let him know that someone was waiting, and then offered for Warren to make himself at home.

About an hour later, Tony appeared, coming up from the garage two steps at a time. He knew Warren was there. That on it's own was the source of his worry, for Tony wasn't sure how Warren was going to take his.. changes. Ruefully Tony looked down at his apparently normal right hand and flexed the fingers. Yes. A lot had changed.

He found Warren in the living room at the bar, and for a moment Tony just had to look at the lovely blond. Nothing had changed - Warren was still as gorgeous as the day Tony had met him - where as Tony was getting more and more silver as the days went on. Pepper said it was stress and that he looked dignified. Tony just felt old.

Shoving his hands into his pockets, Tony ambled towards the bar, his tone soft as he said aloud "I see you discovered I never had the heart to disable your key."
