His mind was reeling with possibilities. There was to be a mission to the pentagon - himself included - to scout out any helpful information to the cure effort. How big was that? Huge. That's how big. Britannic had had quite enough of Westchester and white walls for the time being, so a ride in a cramped jet with a group of disgruntled peers was looking pretty exciting. The cure front was moving along, but personal emotions and space and other such fragile things that people held to were being trampled left and right. Wounded pride, mixed signals, grudges; dangerous feelings to be flying about in a school filled with such powerful beings. With the news of a mission in mind, and the necessity to see that Betsy wasn't falling victim to any of the inevitable negativity, Brian was headed for her door.

He had just finished his last round of tests on the newest batch of subjects from the woods outside the property. Dealing with angry, dirty disease-ridden critters always made him ready for a shower and a walk on the topside. Check and check. On his way to bed, he took the detour to his sister and the Brit knocked once before murmuring, "Bets?"

Elisabeth wouldn't have wanted an apology. Brian hadn't done anything wrong. At least, in her mind's eye, he hadn't.

Maybe it was their link, their bond. Maybe it was because she understood him more than anyone else could that she was so open to what was stirring within both of them. She knew though, that if this continued, they wouldn't be able to take it back. They'd embarking into uncharted, taboo territory. They would be tempting fate but, for the moment, Betsy wasn't overly concern with the repercussions.

Whatever would be, would be.

Featherlight fingertips made Betsy's body feeling incredibly tingly all over; it felt nothing short of amazing. Her blue eyes slid closed again, savoring the sensation of his touch.

She would have never believed this sort of thing could've happened between herself and her Bri-Bri. Never. But, in a way, it made sense that he could make her feel this way... Make her feel that she was truly alive, safe, and loved.

Again, Betsy looked upon his face, nothing but love and admiration reflecting in her eyes. Her lips pursed, kissing the tips of his fingers softly.

"Yes, love?"
