Who: Jean OT x23 and Logan (if he's around and wants to hop in at some point)
What: Jean's joined the team, now she needs to learn to fight.
When: Monday morning
Where: somewhere with mats. lots and lots of mats

Jean had 'officially' joined the Xmen after her chat with Jamie, but this had been her first training session and it wasn't at all what she'd envisioned for her Valentine's Day. She'd woken early, sad to hear nothing still from Logan's room. She knew he'd been sent out on some sort of mission, but she missed him. At least she hadn't had any more bad dreams lately.
Of course, her current waking reality was enough to make up for the lack of nightmares.
Her day had started the way it usually did, with a visit to Nate, changing his sheets and checking his tubes and making sure nothing had changed. For a long time, she sat with him, eating her breakfast and talking to him with her mind, not that he showed any signs of hearing her. She told him about Logan and Eddie and being torn about what to do and how much she wished he was there. She explained that she'd joined the Xmen and she was starting that day and she'd come back later to tell him about it. Maybe the best thing about being a telepath was that she could tell him all of this without speaking it aloud so she could eat at the same time. She was surprisingly hungry that morning.
She'd then spent an hour in the danger room showing her team leader what she could do. The telepathy he'd just have to accept, but the telekinesis was something she needed to practice on, anyway. She'd floating things around of various sizes, including herself and at one point him, then she'd practiced using it to shield herself and later him from projectiles. It had been intense for Jean, and she was mentally worn out.
She was taking a break before she started working out, and she wasn't sure who it was who was supposed to start showing her some of the basics. Sitting cross legged on the mats, she drank some water and closed her eyes, wanting to try and relax and rest her mind. That was harder than it sounded, since she couldn't stop thinking about everything going on. She really should call Eddie and wish him Happy Valentine's Day. That, and make sure he was all right. She was still worried about him after seeing him the week before.
Distracted, eyes closed, she didn't hear someone else enter the training room.
