I'm not even really certain what this is, but maybe learning by trial and error isn't too bad an idea in this case.

So, hello. I'm Remus Lupin. I don't believe I've ever seen any...technology like this before, so this is all rather new. Sorry if I'm making a fool of myself. Give me a little time and I'll learn.

What else? I'm displaced, if you want to call it that. This world doesn't seem too different from my own, aside from the fashions and...advancements. I've never been to America though, so that's new as well.

Anyway, I guess that is all I have to say for now. I'd be interested in meeting people from this world and others for conversation, if nothing else.

I suppose I should get around to ... introducing myself. I'm not precisely certain how this works; we haven't got anything like an internet or network in my time. Or if we have it, it isn't something I'm familiar with.

My name is Lily Evans. I'm 19, from England in February of 1979. I was set to be married in a couple of weeks before I wound up here when traveling to a friend's house.

I have a decent grasp of how currency works here if anyone else needs any help. I'm not certain what else I can bring to the table, aside from an ear if anyone needs to talk. I look forward to meeting the rest of you, and I really look forward to finding a way home.
