Explanation of link: Direct from the site: "Tropes are devices and conventions that a writer can reasonably rely on as being present in the audience members' minds and expectations. If a trope gets used too much, then it becomes clichéd. The word cliché means stereotyped and trite. In other words, dull and uninteresting." This site is a list of those ideas that are used and re-used ad infinitum. It's a great resource when you're running out of ideas, or the idea you have is running out of steam. Or just to see how wide-reaching these ideas can be.
