The past few days had been an emotional roller coaster. Since Asteria's meeting with Narcissa her thoughts had been a complete tangled mess. At first she'd been nervous, her thoughts had been full of doubts and 'what if's'. Next came anger. She didn't like doubting herself and had spent a brief period of time resentful at the older woman for setting her down that path. After that had come nervousness and then annoyance at herself for being nervous.
This instability in her emotions even had her avoiding Draco. It wasn't that she didn't want to see him. That certainly wasn't the case, but while she missed him she didn't want to expose him to her volatile emotions. She didn't want them to fight and if she had been with him while she was angry at his mother, something surely would have come out of her mouth before she could think it through and it would not have gone over well.
What had snapped her out of the rut she had been in was the realization that she had actually sought out the company of her mother not once, but twice. After two days at her parents home she was faced with the reality that she was being ridiculous. Anything that had her spending more time than was healthy with her mother certainly wasn't anything good. On top of that she really did miss Draco. When one was used to having someone around it was hard to go without.
That was the main reason she was back at her flat, although that currently wasn't too fabulous. Amadeus was ignoring her. She figured he wasn't too happy with being left alone for the better part of three days. Sure the few houselves she had taken from her parent's home had made sure he was fed, but they certainly didn't play with him. She had went to pet him and he'd run from her and was now sitting on top of the bookcase, watching her as his tail flicked back and forth.
