With her birthday in two days time, Asteria was starting to worry. She could only imagine what horrors her mother would try this year. If she attempted another social event, Asteria was quite positive that she might kill the women. She supposed she could make it look like an accident. Hopefully she wouldn't have to though, she didn't think Azkaban would do much for her already pale complexion. Her worry had been the main reason she had needed to get out of her apartment. A distration was the best way to avoid worry. Diagon Alley shortly became that distraction.
She didn't particularly like Flourish & Blotts, but given her sudden need to get out of her apartment it was the closest thing she could find to a decent books shop in London. She could have popped over to Draco's apartment but she didn't know if he would be home from work yet and she had long ago read Draco's collection of books. When she was in the mood to read she could certainly burn through books. Unfortunately for her, that meant she have to replenish her supply of unread books, which in turn meant visiting Flourish & Blotts.
So far she had yet to find anything of interest. There had been some possibilities, but nothing that really grabbed her attention. Walking along the furthest shelf in the back, she let her finger trail over the spines of the books, her eyes picking out the titles in the dim lighting. Pulling out a title, she scanned the back before returning it to the shelf, repeating the action for the next three books.
With a sigh, she glared at the next section of books. "I really don't know why I bother!" she exclaimed, unaware that another person had rounded the corner and was also occupying the isle.
