"I know that look," came Lavender's cheery voice as she stood beside the bench Megan had settled on. She had been out as well, for a bit of a break during the busy work day. She loved working in her mother's Divination shop, but sometimes she fresh air was refreshing. One could only take so much incense and oil aromas filling their nasal cavity and lungs. Thankfully, though, she never minded that she always smelled like strong tea with hints of orange when she left. It could be worse.
Yes, it was chilly, but Lavender's bright pink coat kept the cool, spring air away. She was so happy that she had picked up the coat when it went on sale. So what if she would wear it for this season only, and save up to buy a new one? It was serving it's immediate purpose at that moment.
She had noticed Megan as she photographed the squirrel, watching her intently, quietly, before making her way over to her. She didn't want to scare off her subject matter, or ruin the photograph for that matter by startling the other girl.
Digging around in the small tote she carried, she made a face and shrugged. "I don't have any shortbread cookies, though. Oh! I do have," she paused, rummaging around for a moment, before producing a bright pink Sugar Quill to Megan. "It's strawberry, my favorite, but it might cheer you up!" The girl looked like she needed to be cheered up.
