WHO:Emma & Jefferson WHEN: Today WHERE: Their new Townhouse WHAT: Days off, chill outs and catch ups RATING/WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: In Progress
The Townhouse that Jefferson had found them was... Cute. Sort of. It had a bit of that creepy vibe going on, at least on the outside, but that wasn't really something they could do too much to. The porch had that 'worn out' kind of look, a little sad looking, but Jefferson and his tastes had really gone to work on the interior.
She really shouldn't have been overly surprised at what he'd come up with. She'd mostly left it to him because she didn't really have a preference for where they stayed. And without Ruby around anymore, it wasn't too much of a worry for her either. Jefferson, clearly, had much better taste than Emma. At least when it came to decorating.
Ever since the chaos with the Dark One(s), Emma had been making a point in finally cutting back on working so much. Especially since any time someone new showed up it was the same song and dance about organising and what not. Claire had the emergency procedures mostly in hand, which meant that Emma could just... Not stress about it. She was half way through working out who all had been here and how many, while there was headway being made in an attempt to set up a system to alert and warn people when they showed up and registering their devices so that numbers were easily kept. It kind of cut down on Emma actually needed to wander into the station as much.
Just like now, she was taking the quiet time to just not do anything overly busy. Wandering around the house with a book she'd found that wasn't full of spells or weird history, just an odd book about wilderness survival (it seemed relevant), with a mug full of some of Jefferson's new teas. She was slowly easing off the coffee, largely because Jefferson was doing teas at the little tea and cake store or whatever it was, and she really had to admit that it was pretty relaxing. Curling up on the sofa at home, in one of Jefferson's shirts and some sweat pants, complete lazy, non-stressful day.
Even if she was just a little bit bored. Because really. Wilderness survival? She wasn't even sure if she would retain any of this information.
