When everyone else was fearing Diagon Alley, or anywhere really, Pansy was seeking solace there. Since Daniel's departure the echoes of Parkinson Manor had only grown more forlorn, louder, rattling Pansy to her core and she had to find away out. She was tired of the shadows of her home, the emptiness, the sound of her father's pompous voice, the soft sobs of her mother. Parkinson Manor was no longer a home and for once she was looking forward to boarding the Hogwarts train and returning.
Tugging her cloak a little tighter around her, despite the warmth of summer, she made her way from the Leaky Cauldron. Lost in her own thoughts which raced over each other like tumbling puppies, biting one another's tails as they scampered around. She felt heavy, sluggish and she hated it. Why did he have to leave her? The part of Pansy which wasn't a selfish bint understood, she knew why he'd left but that didn't mean it didn't bloody hurt.
Sighing she made her way down Diagon Alley, picking her way through the people with no real destination in mind. All she knew was that she could not stand staying in the Manor for a second more, that she would rather brave of the streets of Diagon than sit in the silence willing the hours away.
