Nor was Charlie used to the position. He certainly did not take McGonagall's offer to prove anything or for pride, which he certainly made obvious during classes with a very relaxed atmosphere and attitude. Though passionate about the subject matter, he certainly hoped his students did not think he pressured them to know it all. Charlie was well-aware that his class would only matter or be important to a small crowd, and those were the people he wanted to cater to as much as possible (or at least instill a sense that magical beasts mattered—good or bad).
"Perhaps the Leaky Cauldron," he said, smirking a bit. "I think you're trying to make this guessing game more interesting than it really is. I wouldn't want to get attached to the idea of any one particular place for lunch, only to find out you want to go to the Hog's Head." He enjoyed teasing Hestia a little bit, but it was not something Charlie typically did. He was far more uptight and tense about everything, making it a challenge to get him to relax. Charlie rarely drank—maybe one beer at dinner if he was out with someone—and his mind was always on his family, the Order, and dragons. Trying to maintain a social life was practically impossible, especially a personal relationship with a witch. Though he tried once or twice, nothing came of it because he was far too inattentive.
He let out a deep breath. They could not apparate into Hogwarts or disapparate out of the grounds, so Hestia had to have an ultimate plan. In a way, Charlie was growing a bit impatient as he simply wanted to know where they were going.
