That once over was also telling, and Tonks blushed to the roots of her hair. There was no use dancing around the subject now, and she was grateful that Molly seemed willing to let her bring it up on her own terms.
"I've never felt like I had a knack with children," she confessed. "Being faced with the older smart ones day in and day out--truth be told, they're quite good at making me feel like a right idiot. Sometimes I fear they don't respect me because I'm so close to their age. I wouldn't have respected me if I were in their position at Hogwarts." She gave Molly a sympathetic smile when she brought up Fred and George. "I'm not sure I would have taken the job if they were still there," she joked.
She followed Molly into the living room. Normally she didn't feel awkward or uncertain in such a familiar place, but these were special circumstance, and Tonks rather thought she might have the right in this instance. "I suppose you've figured out why I'm here then," she said somewhat sheepishly.
