"I was up at the school, to speak with the Headmistress. I want to run clinics, Quidditch clinics for the students but my work schedule has not been cooperating of late. I need a diversion from my job, and helping with the students seemed a valid one. I took the walk instead of going by broom. It was refreshing and dare I admit that I miss this type of weather? It was like this much during my time in school."
He turned to face her, taking another drink as he studied her features. He had not had much chance to interact with women of late, and he found he slightly missed the crowds of women who were known to pester him. At work, in the Ministry, he'd noticed a few following him with their eyes but for whatever reason, they did not approach him. He was certain it was the every looming presence of the DE there, pressuring all to keep to business only; that is, unless you were one of them and then, it seemed work was the last thing on their minds. That was what had changed his job from a busy one to one that was almost overwhelming. There was nothing like having ineffective people in the department, passing off their work to others, including himself.
"I needed a change of pace from the Ministry, a bit of escape from the city. This is fitting the bill rather brilliantly."
He smiled more, "So instead of running to a warmer seaside climate, I seek out the familiarity of snow and cold," he added with a small chuckle, more at himself than anything.
