That didn't take long. When he'd arrived, Orsino still wasn't one hundred percent positive she'd been serious about this thing. But it seemed she was. Unless this was another joke. He wasn't stupid, he knew, but sometimes Orsino had difficulties picking up on people's senses of humor when he didn't know them very well.
He decided to address the sandwich debacle first. The fact that Penny had used words like "meat" and "salady stuff" didn't exactly inspire confidence, or an appetite. What sort of "meat" was she referring to? And what exactly was involved in "salady stuff"? He decided it would be a show of good will to at least take one.
"Sure," he said, reaching to the plate and grabbing one of the smallest. Before he gave it a try though, he shrugged and said, his face very serious, "Dunno. I guess we have to see if this doesn't poison me, first."
