Theo had been back at Hogwarts for a day already but he'd barely seen anyone. The mass panic for students travelling back to Hogwarts early meant that he'd been able to snag an empty booth for himself and had cast a charm on it that didn't make him invisible, but just made him unnoticed.
He was still trying to adjust from being his father's son to being himself at school again, but no amount of walking around the grounds - in as far as he could - had made the feeling of being watched, monitored and disapproved of go away. He still caught himself being emotionally frigid, well-mannered but lifeless, and the more he found out that he was doing it without thinking, the more frustrated he became the sooner he decided to skip seeing people and just go to bed.
Well, that and he wanted to avoid Greg, just for today, just until he thawed out a little and got his head back on straight; his father had done a whammy on him and he didn't want to start talking about the way he actually felt about this thing between them until he could be sure that he was allowed to have feelings again.
He got into bed and cast the usual paranoid charms he cast to stop himself being murdered in his sleep and actually managed to fall asleep fairly quickly, starting out in a mature, relaxed pose on his back on his bed but ending up curled up, knees drawn in, hands actually over his head and shuffled halfway down the bed. It didn't look comfortable but it seemed to suit him.
Well, suit him until he started shifting that was. He moved around, uncurled and then sat up, swaying a little and blinking heavily in the not-dark filtered through the window. He paused there a moment before getting up out of bed, barefoot, wards remaining, only to irrationally start pacing, back and forth like something wild trapped in a cage wanting to get free, up and down the length of the dorm room but somehow silent apart from the sound of movement where before there had been none.
He was still, however, very, very asleep.
