Nodding, Meghan laughed. She didn't think either of them would actually harm Percy, but it felt good to make those threats, safe here in each others' company where no one could judge them for their desire to vent their anger at a friend. She couldn't begin to think what Percy was thinking, but she knew that the last thing Penny needed was to listen to her vent about the man. It was better and easier to focus on something else.
"Oh, you're welcome," she nodded at the thank you, taking the offered tub and helping herself to a spoonful. It tasted so good and she paused to swallow the ice cream. Was there nothing this stuff couldn't make better?
"It was good. It was nice to spend time with Mum and just relax a bit and, well, you already know about the gift I got from Oliver." She grinned excitedly, tucking a few strangers of her unruly hair behind her ear. She didn't want to be insensitive to Penny's mood, but she knew Penny would know all too well how excited she was about what Oliver had gotten her.
