Ron wasn't hard to convince to sit back down; he took his spot on the couch again, and watched Hermione fondly as she headed off for food. Strange how something that had seemed so real a little while ago could be so patently ridiculous, now. He smiled faintly at Harry, and nodded uneasily - it was hard to take thanks in stride when he was still trying to find a sensible reason to explain why he'd left in the first place.
"Sorry it took so long," he said, a little brusque. "And I'm glad you're both still - alright. I know, it was stupid - that thing ..." He shrugged, half-shuddering. "Well, I'm glad it's gone. Bloody creepy. And ... thanks." It was much, much more of a relief to hear it from Harry than he would have liked to admit. He reached over to break off half a scone.
