Hannah was dreading the next morning when she'd laid down Sunday night to sleep. Mondays were the worst and she felt like the weekend hadn't been long enough. The day absolutely dragged by and all of her classes weren't nearly interesting enough to keep her attention the entire period. She had, instead of taking notes, doodled in the margins of her paper and scribbled lyrics from songs in place of potion ingredients. Finally getting out of her last class for the day - Care of Magical Creatures - she hurried away from the paddocks and back into the castle.
Her planner was the only constant thing in her life, or so it seemed, and she depended on that more than anything else in the world. Plopping down on one of the stone benches in the courtyard she let out a sigh and pulled her book bag around so that she could dig around in it. Sifting through quills, parchment, and textbooks she found her old tatty planner and looked at the homework she was responsible for this evening. Most of the lines were blank... Potions: Nothing. Arithmancy: Nada! Astronomy: Star gaze with a friend. Transfiguration: De-stress. And then she saw the one class she actually enjoyed had assigned an essay. Due tomorrow. Herbology: Three feet worth of parchment on Honking Daffodils and other species of active flowers. She groaned. To the library. Getting up she quickly navigated through the sea of students and without so much as a scratch made it to the oak door of Madam Pince's lair. Shaking her head she pushed open the door and glanced around for an open spot. Near the spare ink wells? No. Near the door? Taken. Window seat? Well...nearly open. There was one student and he was hunched over his work. Maybe he wouldn't mind? "Uhm, d'you mind if I sit here?" she asked tentatively, trying to keep her voice down.
