Re: Arriving and small talk in the living room-Viktor
Fleur took a long sip of her wine - almost too long, for she had to clear her throat after - before craning her neck to peer out into the living room from her station next to Bill.
"Yes, the garlic was a good suggestion," she told him absently. Her free hand ran through her hair, as if of its own volition, as Fleur straightened her posture and smoothed her skirt. Briefly, she pressed her lips pressed together, until they were slightly flushed with the wine and the pressure. These little, subconscious preparations made, she smiled brightly at Bill and left her glass in the kitchen as she left to answer the door.
She was very pleased to see Viktor waiting there, a bottle in hand. Even working in the same place now, they didn't often cross paths, and Fleur considered him an old friend by now.
"Ah, Viktor, welcome!" She stood back and waved him in, cutting off the cool autumn breeze drifting in from the ocean as she shut the door behind him. "You are actually the first arrival." As she led him deeper into the room, Fleur looked up at him appraisingly. "Did you find the cottage easily?"
