"Maybe there's a spell to fix them?" Oriel suggested practically. He was sure there must be - but how difficult it would be, that he did not know. Magic was a weird and wonderful thing. Well, weird when you hadn't always known about it. Oriel was still a bit awed by it from time to time, even after all these years.
Oriel could not imagine some people stepping into a Muggle thrift store either! Both on account of them being Muggle stores, and also on account of them being thrift stores. Both were considered bad words by some (often the same!) people. It was a shame really, but the world was not a perfect place, as lovely as it was.
He hadn't really thought about lunch, but when Ellie mentioned it, his stomach did a little turn as if to pipe in and say 'yes! I'm hungry!'. Which made Oriel smile.
"That would be great. I haven't had lunch yet," he replied. He had been wrapped up in work in the morning and then had set right off on his quest to find a few new clothing items to replace the ones which were barely hanging on by threads anymore. He had one shirt that was practically see-through, it was so well worn!
"Do you want to go somewhere here-" Meaning Diagon Alley and the area. "Or in Muggle London?" Since they were heading that way anyway. Oriel was not overly fussed. He found that these days there was usually at least something vegetarian on every menu, even if it was just a nice salad or a sandwich or some such.
