Lyra had to admit the idea of him chopping wood in such a fashion was... well, how she was imagining it done (shirt off from the sweating and those arms, goodness!) made her cheeks go so pink that she could feel the heat radiating up to her ears. Ignoring the obvious display of her embarrassment she went about inspecting those lines again.
"I'm sure you got better," she mumbled. Her index finger tapped against his life line and she glanced up sharply, eyes focusing on Stephen. He was leaning on the front counter, reading the prophet, when Lyra called out.
"Stephen, what does this mean, when the heart line begins in the middle?"
"Hmm.. mostly, it means they fall in love easily," Stephen smiled and Lyra turned her eyes back to Tristan.
"Interesting. And the way the heart line is broken like this? Emotional trauma. But everyone has some of that, if someone didn't that'd just be.. odd, don't you think? Oh, and if I'm not mistaken this life line is very close to the edge of your palm so it means you are cautious, which is good I suppose.. if you do fall in love easily," she turned her palm up now.
"See? I do too.. but I'm not nearly as cautious," she sighed. "I just leap without looking."
